Griffin ProSpeaker Breakout Cable

I am looking to attach my PowerMac 500 (Sawtooth) to my home stereo. I was looking at the ProSpeaker Breakout Cable. The Griffin web site states that the ProSpeaker Breakout Cable works with Digital Audio PowerMacs. My question is, does the ProSpeaker Breakout Cable only work with Digital Audio PowerMacs or will the ProSpeaker Breakout Cable work with any PowerMac?

    Only works with those PowerMac with the Pro Speaker jacks



    Yours doesn't have that jack therefore save your money

    Any powermac with the analog amplifier (aka digital audio port).
