Laptop mouse options

I'm considering buying an iBook sometime in the near future and I'm wondering whether there are any nice mouse options that can solve the one-button dilemma. I like the second button and the scroll-wheel that I've become accustomed to using with Windows machines, but I'm wondering if there's anything more compact than simply plugging a corded mouse into the back of the iPod. I have this mental image of a trackpad with multiple buttons and a scrollwheel that clamps on to the side of the laptop. Does any such thing actually exist as far as anyone knows? If not, what multi-button mice have you people found to use with your laptops? Before I started using a PC at work a few months ago, I never even understood the purpose of the second mouse button, but now I don't like the idea of using a computer without one.

I have a powerbook and it's my first laptop. When I'm sitting at my desk or someplace solid, I prefer to use my mouse, which is this Kensington Pocketmouse Pro. It has 2 buttons, scroll wheel, optical, and best of all...the cord retracts into the mouse so no more LONG cord!!

    if you want to see a picture of it.. <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/rougeuxj/.Pictures/Photo Album Pictures/2002-12-03 18.16.49 -0800/ImageIMG_2366.jpg&quot; target="_blank">click here</a>

I have the <a href="http://www.kensington.com/html/1211.html"; target="_blank">Kensington PocketMouse Pro</a> for my PowerBook. It has a retractable cord (stows in the mouse with a wind up mechanism like a window shade). It is a two button mouse with a scroll wheel. They also just intro'd a <a href="http://www.kensington.com/html/1766.html"; target="_blank">PocketMouse Pro Wireless</a> with a USB widget that stows in the mouse (which I think is kinda groovy). I like Kensington's software for mice and trackballs also. It allows you to have seperate configs for different apps, and program various button combos. I have been very happy with their product.
