Anyone try Nike's MP3 players?
Looking for a rugged MP3 player for serious jogging.
Nike had an older line based on a Rio product that can be found on ebay. However, I remember reading some not so favourable reviews somewhere.

They also have a new line based on a Philips product found here:

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with either.

Does your iPod hang after about 20 minutes or so? I'm looking at the 5gb version.
Get the adaptor pack and you have yourself the best travel buddy around.

Nike should just stick to sports apparels. Let Apple do the music hardware and let the singers sing.
This biggest problem I found with the Nike's was that you had to convert all the mp3 files to a different filetype (can't remember what it is) and it took extra time.

That didn't have to be done on my friend's Nike.
I had to post my 50th post. It was killin me.

Just wait til you get to 7000 like me
I take my 1st gen iPod snowboarding and even when trashing through trees or bailing off jumps it works great, sure it looks beat up but so do I.

Yeah I've read good and bad about the iPod hanging. Snowboarding I assume has you starting and stopping. Unfortunately, my workout are more constant running which may screw up the buffer.
Just thought if i could pick up a cheap solid state mp3 player (the Rio600 is going for $30 online) for more rugged activity and use the iPod for travel and leisure.
Of course I'd prefer just one device like the iPod, but the last thing I want to have happen is a hang in the middle of my hour run.

Maybe that was a Sony that had to convert the files. I can't remember. My roommate had it and it was the most annoying thing whichever player it was.

I don't know if I'll ever get to 7000. I have this thing that is like ADD but I am over 22 so I am not allowed to be diagnosed as having it. You know like starting something you never finish and whatnot. Wait, doesn't everybody do that???
