Flatbed scanner recommendation

I am in the market for a new flatbed scanner.



I have been using an Epson ES-1000C for quite a few years.



I am looking to replace it with something of better quality.



I have narrowed it down to either an Epson or Canon.



I will be using a Canon S9000 for output.





Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
