AppleTV Remote after TVOS Update

The lastest TVOS update has made non-siri remotes non-functional on 3rd and 4th generation AppleTV.  I have a 4th Generation AppleTV.  The Siri remote works fine.   Prior to the update the 3rd Gen remote (Aluminum) worked but no longer.  I talked with Apple Tech line and they said they are aware of the issue.  Hopefully a fix is coming soon.
