Airport order delayed from Apple Store: New Airport?

This is probably a coincidence, but last week I ordered an Airport adaptor for a G3 iMac. (They are $20 and required for putting the airport cards in old iMacs.) I also ordered some blank DVDs.

The blank DVDs arrived in time, but today I got an e-mail from Apple that said my Airport adaptors were delayed several days, and that I could cancel my order.

I know that they've done this right before new products were introduced.

Again, this is probably a coincidence, and they probably just have a genuine parts delay. But there has been some discussion of new Airport, and this just seemed like it could be a clue. I'm not even sure if they'd need a new G3 iMac adaptor for a new Airport.

So take it for what it's worth.

my guess would be no. the apple store doesnt show any delays to any wireless products, besides the bluetooth adapter.

Usually delays will also be posted at the apple store. like the crt imacs and ipod currently are.
