It's too bad Isys Information Arcitects' web site went down. They had some really great stuff there in the Interface Hall of Shame. I'm currently extrating the archived pieces of it from the Wayback Machine and will post a link to my own mirror when it's ready...

Looking foward to seeing stuff from the interface hall of shame. If its anything like what I have seen it shall be a laugh
I got everything important minus only two or three images. I rewrote the links so they should all point to the proper files on my iDisk. The only pages I didn't pull are the Announcments page, Feedback page, and IIA's own software development page.
The material on these pages is very informative and hilarious at times. There are even a few Mac examples scattered about too. The in-depth look at QuickTime 4 gives me shivers. I HATED the QuickTime 4 Player's interface. There are some things that have carried over to even the current player that are terrible. Maybe I should write an article about it...
Anyhow, enjoy!

Oh, and by the way, this thread belong in General Discussion. Moving now...

will microsoft fail with palladium ? is it gonna work ? if not, will everybody switch ? (to linux or mac, doesn't matter)
Personally, I think it's not gonna work, but consumers will buy it anyways. as always.
But maybe just the right amount will not.
What's important is...
...will Apple be in a strategic position to pounce?
Are business/schools going to dump Windows and blow heaps on PPC hardware and 'X'.
Will business' dump their servers and go X-serve crazy?
Will schools and business just stay with what they have for a while, voting with their wallets.
Does Apple have the right machines at the right prices to take advantage of the Palladium issue?
Does Apple have the right software running on the right processor for these companies to defect?
Do they have a decent Office App with M$ Office compatablility to address people's concerns about Mac? Yeah. OS X Office. But what if M$ pulls the plug on that. Then what?
Is Marklar Apple's salvo into the side of the M$ Palladium ship?
I see precious little evidence, even with 'X' and 'X-serve' and especially with Apple's entropic advertising...that Apple are capable of thinking different(ly) or big enough.
For what it's worth, I think Apple will shrug off every last bit of dependence on Redmond over the next year.
I think the gloves are coming off. What this means and whether we'll see a frontal assault via Marklar? I don't know. We'll have to wait and see.

*argh* in one of those sites i found a link to something *really* scary:

Ya, I hope this will NEVER happen.
1. What are the digital rights that users must agree to in XP?
2. How will Palladium be still different?
3. When will Palladium appear?
