On the bottom of the apple pro mouse, there is a - and a + sign, and you can rotate a plastic circle towards either sign. What does this do? I am baffled.
Seems like a neat feature, except there didn't seem to be any noticeable difference, is there? I wonder if it is broken?

It may be.
The difference is subtle but noticable at the same time.
For all the stupid boneheaded things Apple does, and for all the complaining we do, you have to love a computer company that designs a dial on the bottom of their mice to subtly but perceptibly adjust the feel of the button click.

That's what I lurve about the Mac, the attention to minute details that makes a huge difference to the user.

if you set it to "-" the mouse clicks very easy, often if you only lie your hand on it.
if you set it to "+" you have to press harder to click.
