Anyone know if TechTV will be showing the keynote again? I know they did it last year (or one other time) and it would be great if they did it again.

They did not carry the last one...Apple wouldn't let them. It's for Apple's benefit if everyone gets online. That way they can brag through a press release about how many people watched it in MPEG4.

Can Apple do that? Since they aren't in charge of the expo how can they?

They tell IDG, "No live cable broadcasting allowed". That's how. We still have some time to go so there's always a possibility.

EmAn you should, it's good usually, like the Screensavers, but sometimes Patrick rags on Macs.

Still no sign of them broadcasting it. And <a href="http://www.techtv.com/callforhelp/features/story/0,24330,3412825,00.html"; target="_blank">this</a> sure was discouraging! A Jaguar demo? I sure hope not.

I would if I could. I'll probably have it in the near future because we'll be dumping Cablevision for DirecTV.

The tuesday schedule is up at TechTV and no live broadcast indicated. Screen savers at 7 (and repeated at 10) lists "Macworld cool stuff". So for some of us on modem it looks like another "jerky" Quicktime broadcast (although switching to audio only will give you better audio without dropouts).

DirecTV is good. MUCH and MTV2 are actually good, then you get these little channels like TechTV.

I've seen the keynote on a modem before. Steve Jobs looks like a monster made out of Jell-O when the compression artifacts trail him as he walks around on stage! <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

I can't believe that there are still places that don't get TechTV.

It's a basic channel for me now.

We've got MTV2 and Cablevision is getting MUCH soon so that's not really a reason to switch

Like I said before, the main reason we're going to switch is to get MSG (for the 50 Mets games that are on the network, which by the way is owned by Cablevision and should be included in Basic Cable considering Time Warner includes it) and YES (for the Nets and if I wanna watch the Yanks). And of course DirecTV's cheaper so that makes it better too.

It used to be on only 4 days a week in my location, now it's on full time. You know that Microsoft owns it.

Yup, Jobs looks like his yin and yang keep banging into each other on a modem connection.
