I just moved to Santa Monica, CA and wanted to see if anyone knew of the best deal/service/speed dsl/cable around here. I've been using earthlink for the past few years and was wondering about the competition.



also, anyone from the area know of some places i can connect to the internet for free via my airport card?

    SBC has pretty good service. I've had there DSL service for about a year-and-a-half. I get good speed(~1200kbps/~384kbps), and its very reliable. It only drops out about once a month, around 3:00pm.



    Don't get fooled by the Yahoo! SBC DSL package. It sounds good, but isn't very useful, IMHO.
