Please say that he is waiting until afner MacWorld before making his purchase! With possible updates so close, it would be crazy to take the chance and order now.

So, which product is he looking to buy?

    Hey MCQ

I like that payout structure, the second commision is 5 times the previous amount. Keeping that in mind, I have personally convinced 11 people to buy a Mac in the last 2 years. Does that mean that you owe me a check for $122,076.56 :-D

    $0.01

    $0.01 x 5 = $0.05

    $0.05 x 5 = $0.25

    $0.25 x 5 = $1.25

    $1.25 x 5 = $6.25

    $6.25 x 5 = $31.25

    $31.25 x 5 = $156.25

    $156.25 x 5 = $781.25

    $781.25 x 5 = $3,906.25

    $3,906.25 x 5= $19,531.25

    $19,531.25 x 5= $97,656.25

    Total = $122,079.56

I gotta get working on that 12th person... who couldn't use an extra $488,281.25! ;-)

Or maybe each subsequent sale simply nets you an additional $0.04. The payout for your 11 sales isn't quite as large, then.

    i told him to wait...

but he's very anxious, so he might be too compulsive to wait. however, i did convince him to at least talk to compusa (thats where he's looking to get it) about price matching if they do drop the price. i believe the model he's looking at is the top of the line 15-inch imac.

all it took for him to be convinced to buy a mac was to use his POS win98 machine which crashed between 3 and 10 times a day, while watching my 3 year old imac chug away without so much as a reboot once a month...
