Macbook Pro 2018 i7 15" 2.6 GHz 512 SDD 16 Ram
Benchmarks:

Black Magic Disk Speed Test shows 1691.9 MBs write /2600.9 MBs read.

Geekbench single core is 5081, Multi-core is 22535. (Updated)

Compute Benchmark using the Intel OPEN CL is:20652

Compute Benchmark using the Radeon 560 OPEN CL is:59428

"Thermal test" Setup:

1)I unplugged my external monitor (which in the past caused issues with MacBooks.) The MacBook is open and in a room that is approximately 74 degrees.

Actions:

2)I had to install Xcode first:

https://www.howtogeek.com/211541/homebrew-for-os-x-easily-installs-desktop-apps-and-terminal-utilities/

xcode-select --installruby -e "$(curl -fsSL r/https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"

3)I installed Intel Power Gadget and ran it.

4)I ran the two commands

export HOMEBREW_MAKE_JOBS=12

time brew install llvm --HEAD

5)When the terminal got to this point the load really started:

Your branch is up to date with 'origin/master'.==> cmake -G Unix Makefiles /private/tmp/llvm-20180720-2683-ecemdq -DCMAKE_C_FLA==> make

I then ended up leaving the computer for a while, and when I came back 20 minutes later the make was still running.

I took this screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/3I7LweK (If I'm reading it right it's jumping up and down pretty severly.)

6)I stopped the make job. I closed Power Gadget. I waited for 10 minutes.

7)I started Power Gadget again, but this time enabled logging.

8)I ran the commands again:

export HOMEBREW_MAKE_JOBS=12
time brew install llvm --HEAD

9)When the MAKE line showed up I took this screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/VtKSqTE

10)I set a timer for 5 minutes then I took another screen shot:https://imgur.com/a/rMcUYZ3

11)I uploaded the Power Gadget log here:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QB_PmVDXj65u2OxDMKx217Rd2Zz0p9f6SIdc27X0za8/edit?usp=sharing

Black Magic Disk Speed Test shows 1691.9 MBs write /2600.9 MBs read.

    Doesn't that seem wrong?

I have the exact same config and the same result. I was really led into believing it'd reach the 2500MB/s write mark. Such as, for example, the 13" seems to get (as per reviews online).

I feel mislead. Nowhere on Apple's site do they mention a speed difference on the 512Gb model.

(I've commented about this on the thread of the review for the 15", here: https://forums.appleinsider.com/discussion/comment/3078972/#Comment_3078972 and following posts)
