Apple Play

I’m in the process of replacing my Toyota hatchback and have read about the 2019 model that is being released in August. Unfortunately I have read that it will not have Apple Play in Australian models. I cannot understand how a new model could not have the latest equipment when cheaper models have it. Could you please advise me if this so.
