Apple Music will host a concert by synthpop band Christine and the Queens in Paris on Sept. 13, marking both the debut of a new album, "Chris," and a short film about it.

People can apply for tickets in English or French here, iGeneration noted on Tuesday. The event will start at 7 p.m. local time at Salle Pleyel, located on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore.

Ahead of the actual concert Apple will be screening "Apple Music Presents: Chris," presumably a making-of film. The short will hit Apple Music on Sept. 14, while the namesake album is set to launch Sept. 21.

Video documentaries have become a staple of Apple Music. While some are feature-length, such as "808" or "Bang! The Bern Berns Story," many of the shorter ones are album-focused promotional pieces like the one for Christine and the Queens. Some other promoted artists have included P!nk, Harry Styles, and Haim.

Apple has long had an association with live music, though last year it discontinued the Apple Music (nee iTunes) Festival, previously an annual event in London. At the time it was speculated that Apple would instead concentrate on the sort of one-off shows like the one in Paris.
