murbot is just the best. I support him no matter what he does.

He is such a good role model, and I hope I can grow to be the type of man he is.

    I salute you, murbot.

    Pretty close, Bodhi.

Waiting for the new iMacs to roll out Jan 27, and I've also decided to pick up an iBook. Decided not to spend the extra getting the 12" PB, and put that towards the iMac. I want it to last a while, since my wife says I'm a dead man if I sell her iMac.

Oh, gelding, the Strange Brew/porn/booze fest isn't until early February. I have a couple of weeks to get ready for it.

    Spill it Murbot,

You know something about iMacs/iBooks that the rest of us don't?

My PB is supposed to arrive in a week, should I be looking elsewhere in the line-up instead? I'm not sure I can stand to use a G3 based machine (as my primary) I will need to run VPC, I don't think an iBook plus VPC will be too pleasant. An L3-less G4 might not be the fastest either, but it should fare better.

PS, come on now, the wife has threatened to rein you in before and it hasn't happened yet. Show the little missus who's boss, BTW, does she wear shoes int he house? 'Cause you've got the pregnant part covered. ahyahaha

I didn't word that quite right... my iBook is now about 3 hours old.

I don't think the iBook is going to see much action anytime soon.

iMacs on the other hand, are getting an overhaul soon. I think it's safe to say they're waiting so the iLife apps will come pre-installed...

If I was going to be relying on VPC on my portable, I'd be getting the PB too. Since we've decided to go to a 2 computer setup, I don't need real power in the portable. The toughest work it will see is iPhoto and some light iMovie stuff. Mostly an internet/email/chat/MP3/writing machine for me. Just wasn't worth the premium to go to the MiniPB for me.

Don't worry, no reason to get worried about your big purchase, man.

Oh, and the boss actually hasn't given me much of a hard time about selling until now. She's twiddling her thumbs while the kids have nap time at home, and is DEMANDING a permanent Mac for the house. I'll let her think she's ruling the roost.... think about it, if your wife demands that you buy a new Mac, is that really so bad? I'll deal.
