Destroying a perfectly good Mac

I don't want anyone to cry or get angry but here's what I want to do....

I'm building a pc to complement my 1ghz MDD. I had originally sold my 2 year old Dell a few months ago to completely "switch". However coming in april is <a href="http://www.starwarsgalaxies.com"; target="_blank">this</a> so I need a PC again. Building is cheaper and more fun so I'm going that route. Now I've decided to get <a href="http://www.exoticpc.com/merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=EPC&Product_Cod e=AHA-DIGN&Category_Code=CASES-LX" target="_blank">this case</a>.

Lately though I saw an episode of the screen savers (on tech tv...if you get this channel watch because the show is great) where one of the guy built his own mac. Later he put a PC in the case too. He had one computer that did MAC and PC. This got me thinking about buying a MAC case and putting a PC inside. The PC they used on the screen savers is weak and feeble (but fits inside a drive bay) so I won't be using that one.

Long story short, can one buy and old mac on ebay and rip out the guts and replace with PC guts without modding (or at least extensive modding) or can one buy the case by its lonesome?

Thanks in advance!

i would say no...i mean you would probably have to do modding of somesort

if ur looking for newage cases which aren't beige, you may have some problems, i dont know of too many people that get rid of them, i mean at elast trash the comp and keep the case...or vise versa for that matter

iirc, the holes don't line up where you'd mount the MB between PC and Mac MB's. you'll also have to replace the power supply.

you should be able to find someone who has a G3 or G4 that blew up that you can buy.

I saw that episode, and their article is based on the one at <a href="http://macopz.com/buildamac"; target="_blank">macopz.com/buildamac</a>.
