ok... Im sick and tired of getting support for a certain product and have been looking into creating the drivers through an opensource movement or whatnot. My company doesnt feel MacOS is importnat enough to dedicate resources to (understandibly for now) but I really want to get the drivers out so our product can work with the hardware (a DVB satellite card).

I have found the USB SDK at <a href="http://developer.apple.com/hardware/usb/index.html"; target="_blank">http://developer.apple.com/hardware/usb/index.html</a>; and to be honest, I dunno what to do next.

Can anyone give me a hand? Is anyone interested in helping me out? I can really see what my company can get together as remuneration...

thanks

Do you have access to the card's developers? If so, are you sure they will disclose all the specs to you?

If you are going to write drivers for another company's product (I'm sorry if I misunderstood) you will have to reverse-engineer the protocols and commands it uses. Be prepared to live inside gdb for god only knows how long.

May be there is a workaround? If the card works in a PC, why not use a PC? It may prove to be a lesser headache.

All in all, try to contact the card's developers first.
