Microsoft's New CD Copy Protection May Fall Flat

Seems like the Evil Empire may end up shooting itself in the foot. Along with the record comapanies. I think Apple has been smart to embrace digital music the way it has. Place trust in the consumer and allow them their fair use rights. I for one think that if MicroSoft pushes too hard then a lot of people will FINALLY get fed up and start taking a look at Apple. If we get some really nice new hardware on top of that, along with some reasonable pricing (bows in Matsu's direction) we may see some double digit market share for the first time in a while.

I honestly have NO idea how all this RIAA stuff will pan out. I just thought the article was interesting .
