Infograph watch face series 4-limited use of apps

Has anyone heard if Apple is going to update the series 4 software to allow for mail and messaging apps on the infograph watch faces? It’s unfortunate that the apps that can be used with the new faces are so limited. I’m having to use the old modular face to have messaging and mail on the watch face. That’s kind of crazy.
