Choosing the right ultra wide screen monitor

I need a bit of help navigating this vast jungle of monitors to find the best possible match for my use cases.

Have a look below and let me know what you find to be the best options out there that will make this work as seamlessly as possible.

I have two current uses cases:
  1. Use the monitor for work (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) with my 15" 2018 MBP that I want to connect and charge via the Thunderbolt 3 connector
  2. Use the monitor for work (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) with my wifes 15" 2014 MBP and connect via HDMI or Displayport (not really sure what works best...?)

Future use case:

  1. Use the monitor in combination with a Windows gaming PC for my son to play on (but still working with the two first mentioned use cases above)

I am not entirely set on the specs but have something along these lines in mind:

  • 34 inches or above
  • Preferably 1600 pixels horizontally (if only 1440 is available that will do)
  • 100 hz refresh rate or above
  • Thunderbolt 3 port that will also charge my MBP 15" 2018 model (I believe it requires 85W)
  • G-sync technology
  • 600 nits brightness or above
  • HDR (nice to have)
  • No need for built-in speakers
  • Price is not super important but I am aiming for something below $2K

Thanks for your help!
