Dollar value of my G4...??

Yes, yes, yes. yes... This is yet another case of shoulda waited... I purchased my Quicksilver G4 867 from Apple Canada's "Deals" section, a couple weeks before Macworld.



I like most people here wasn't expecting anything too big, at least not in the PowerMac area, or PowerBook lowend area.



So now, here I am. After the show kicking myself for buying the Mac that I did.



Don't get me wrong, the PowerMac is a great system... But the portabilty and price of the 12" PowerBook is just too tempting. I've been wanting a laptop for SO long, but didn't have the $ to buy a PowerBook, and didn't want to settle for an iBook.



Could someone help me figure out how much I could get for my G4?



Quicksilver G4

1x 867MHz

512MB RAM

80 GB HD

ATI Radeon 8500

CDRW drive

    Well... today's single 1 GHz PowerMac G4 is $1500, but that's with a much slower graphics card and less RAM. On the other hand, it comes with a combo drive.



    Dual 867s are going for $1500 as well. Those are the value that people are going to be looking for.



    I think the computer is worth about $1200 if it had a lesser graphics card, but that 8500 will improve your price by probably a good $100. So I'd say $1300.
