Anyone else use screen dump? I have seen many threads on showing your latest desktop. But I thought with screen dump we could post a current aka almost live pic of what we are doing on our macs.

Here is mine

you can get Screendump at <a href="http://www.laan.org/screendump/"; target="_blank">Screen Dump web page</a>

His pic keeps changing, it is Word right now, but it won't be there forever.

This is the beauty of Screen Dump. It takes a picture at intervals you specify and uploads to a place of your choosing. All automated.

Does no one else use it? I think its great. Its like Spy or Snapperhead without the configuration and server mumbo jumbo.

saw them and I like them a lot. How is this screendump supposed to work? It won't upload to my idisk right. I have to manually keep doing it.

It will ftp. Since you can't ftp to iDisk you need another location to ftp to. Do you get any space from your internet provider. Mine goes to earthlink.

Take that back. Under preferences the screendump can also be saved to your hard drive.

So if you are connected to iDisk via finder, just have it save the pic to the sites folder of your iDisk. Then you can link the picture on a web page or Appleinsider to that url

I just have to keep hitting save as each time. Instead of it doing it automatically right??

    No look under preferences.

Tell it to save to the sites folder of your iDisk.

Then set it too take a picture every 600 seconds or 100 seconds.

Thats up to you. Then as long as the program is open it will work.
