Another victim of Apple (Steve Jobs?) Justice...

Something interesting I caught on MacSurfer was something from the PowerBook Zone about a guy who worked at an Apple Store who apparently posted internal screenshots of special Apple software intended for their tech support people.

Shortly after, he got "Steved".

You can read his story here:

I can't help but think that maybe he should have kept his job. I mean, it doesn't seem like he posted any secret info on pre-release hardware or software, like the infamous Worker Bee incident.

Well, I don't know the details. But he revealed a company's private information (which is probably a violation of his employment agreement).

Me too. Though I feel bad that it happened. Still, I'm a voyeur.

If he distributed the software, it would be copyright violation. Even if you hate copyright as much as me, it would be something you have to expect a reaction for.

However, all he did was post pictures of software which is fairly public (well, I had heard about it, so I assume many others had) anyway.

I remember arguing back when OS X was beta if posting screen shots was a voliation of copyright. Personally I don't think it is.

But for this Apple store guy ... he should have known better.
