Secretly wanting MS/Apple partnership?

Not that any of this is even remotely likely, but sometimes I wish MS would partner up with

Apple, combine the best features of OSX and XP to create a single platform that can run on both Wintel and PowerPC hardware.

Of course MS (or Apple I guess) would have no reason or desire to do this.



At times, it great to be different and support the underdog such as Apple. Other times, it's just plain frustrating when you're left out of the loop because some software or net initiative is not available for the Mac yet.

    Wasn't IBM supposed to be working on some new OS (not OS/2 ) that was going to be able to run on any platform? I wish I could remember more details about it...
