apple ads

Was just wondering, why apple advertises quite heavily (it would seem) in the U.S, but why not in the UK? the last ad i saw here in good old blighty was when the imacs came out.

Apple would sell a shed load more macs if they advertised more in europe.

but i will say this, after watching sky for almost a week constantly (seriously bored) i've notice macs in loads of adverts, from loans to aol theres a clamshell or powerbook lurking in a corner somewhere. and then theres the BBC who seem to only use macs!!

i think i've answered my own question here but with the likes of PC companies attacking my eyeballs in every other ad i think apple should pay more attention to the europe scene.

as for apple stores DO THEY EXIST?

There is very little advertising here in Singapore too.

My guess is the US market is still a very big market as their market share is only something lke 3-5%, and there is still a lot of room for growth, Thus, Apple wants to concentrate on its own domestic market before it expands aggressively in other markets.

    One thing at a time.
