load - store - share (storage Q)
i have to admit...iam loading tons of stuff on kdx and direct connect...i even have my own server
i want to know how the future looks regarding storage...
i think 80-120gb is the average in new machines
when do we reach 500gb per disk as a typical replacement for todays 120gb disks?
when do we reach a terrabyte?
a dvd has 4.5gb..thats cool but its not on your disk
400gb HDs are still too expensive
when will prices fall?

Prices usually fall whenever newer drives come out.
<strong>We have 250GB today, so we should get 500GB disks next year and 1TB in '05.

it doubles every year? is that a simple rule?
actually this be right when i remember the times
/me thanks DealMac
I think that those LaCie 400 and 500 GB Drives might drop down to under 200 in a little ove a year, but who knows. When do people think we'll go solid state for storage? I mean, a 1 GB CF card goes for $200 now. If you make it a little bigger, I'm sure you could get the price down even more, and get more storage. Just imagine the speeds (drool).
