Apple's iPhone manufacturer is recruiting for more staff and is also offering cash rewards to keep existing employees ahead of ramping up production for the three models expected to be released this year.

Ahead of Apple's expected release of three new iPhones for 2019, manufacturer Foxconn is gearing up for production by recruiting new staff and also offering incentives for existing ones to continue. It's increasing recruitment despite the expectation that iPhone sales will be similar to last year's.

According to Economic Daily News, the company has offered a bonus of approximately $675 to each previous employee returning to the factory for the new production season.

At the same time, recruitment is reportedly increased and Hon Hai, the owners of Foxconn, reportedly released information saying that employee trial periods were being shortened to one month.

While Foxconn would not comment on whether the recruitment was for the iPhone production line, Apple is expected to announce the new phones in September.

According to Economic Daily News, Foxconn will be producing two high-end models, presumed to be the successors to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. At the same time, the publication reports that some 150,000 LCD models -- this year's version of the iPhone XR -- will be produced each month in India.

It's normal for Foxconn and most Apple suppliers to increase staff numbers to meet peak demand, but this time the move comes after iPhone sales have been declining.

The new iPhones are expected to feature a three-camera system, plus a new Taptic Engine.
