Need to replace 2011 MBP; advice?

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) with a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB of memory, and a 700 GB SSD. The keyboard is going bad, so I have to use a bluetooth keyboard, which is annoying. Plus I can't run Mojave or Catalina, which will eventually be a problem.

I've been very happy with this laptop and would keep it if I could. Any advice for a new but affordable model that has similar specs? I don't need Firewire, an SD card slot or an optical drive.

    What do you do with the laptop?

    I think the 2012 MBP13 was sold well into 2014. You could try to buy a used one of those.
