macOS Catalina does not support 5120x1440 video resolution on any hardware they are selling in 2020.   The previous OS X 10.14 supported this on the same hardware.  With the release of Catalina we lost the ability for this resolution.   This does not seem to be a hardware issue it is a software release issue.   I have a 1500.00 ultra wide monitor I can't use anymore because I upgraded my OS.

Apple needs to fix this in Catalina

    You should probably tell them then.  No one here can do anything about it.
