I'm a rare visitor but the the move of the digital hub forum up in the forums list has thrown me off and I'm not happy with it. general discussion is now too low in the list. I would reccomend perhaps doing groupings.

Have a group at top with:

General Discussion

AppleOutsider

Fireside Chat (which I think should be deleted)

hardware grouping next:

Future

Current

and then software grouping

Mac OS X

Digital Hub

Third Party

and then maybe tech support

just an idea... I think that would work better. I know its tradition to have future hardware at the top but that forum is slowly becoming less of an integral part of the community and the lounge areas are becoming more popular so.... that's my suggestion...

hmmm... I really cant see how it throws you off. I could understand if their was like 50 Forums but when there is only a few it really doesnt seem to be that big a deal to most

I deeply value you're opinion.... honestly.

but it's wrong and I don't agree at all with it.

    thank you

applenut is a rare visitor? that would throw me off waaay more than when the DH moved.

although where that's concerned, i've found the best solution is to DEAL.

if you're struggling with the move and it's really bothering you, well then i envy your life that this is even a problem worth bringing up.

Well said, alcimedes, and to think that you have fewer than half of applenut's posts

Interesting thread, this BTW, so much so that it should be in my Private Test Area

I like applenut's suggestion. I don't like it too much either. Digital Hub doesn't belong more towards the top compared to General Discussion, AppleOutsider, or Fireside Chat.

Well said, alcimedes. Just deal, applenut. Take a more relaxed attitude now that you're a Californian.

The new placement of Digital Hub makes perfect sense. The Digital Hub concept is the core of Apple's future strategies and thus is rightfully close to the top on the main page.

Doesn't bother me at all, not a single bit.

There is no grouping that would please everyone.

Am I saying a new layout is bad? No. Just that the current one has no drawbacks on my side.

I think the ordering makes more sense now than it used to. There was no logical reason to have it below AO and FC.

And logically, Suggestions should be at the very bottom followed by Genius Bar and then the two non-industry boards.

Digital Hub is right at home now. Among Apple-specific forums.
