Does the Apple 18W Fast-charger require a special cable?

Hello everyone,

I received my 18W Fast-Charger earlier today and noticed there was no Type-C cable bundled : S.. however I have one that I got in my Airpods Pro box.

I was wondering if the Airpods Pro Type-C to Lightning cable that came with the airpods pro can be used with the 18W Fast-Charger for my iPhone XS and If I would still get fast charging enabled at the full 18W?... or if there's a special 'fast charge' Type-C to Lightning I must get?
