Right now, we're just trying to keep this UBB from falling over.
There is an imminent migration to new software that will give us a lot more options. But we're taking our time moving to make sure there is as little disruption and as few nasty surprises as possible.
Amorph is quite right. For the past few months we have (not so secretly) been working on a replacement for AppleInsider that will be powered by vBulletin. One of the many new features that vBulletin offers over our current UBB software is the abitlity to see what users are online and what pages they are currently browsing. The same page also gives quick links to each member's profile, e-mail, and PM system. The IP address is ONLY viewable by forum Moderators and Administrators.
I was wondering the same thing. What I usually do is open all the topics I want to read in a seperate tab in Chimera, would it just show the last one that I loaded?

Yeah, it would show the last page you opened up. There is no good way for it to know that you're browsing multiple pages at once.
Ok thanks, I thought that there might be a small chance that it would show the first tab you loaded, or the first oe you started to respond to, or somethig crazy like that.
Well, the software only knows that your IP requested a page, and it takes the assumption that you're not using tabbed browsing, since most people aren't. From the software's standpoint, there is really no effective way to determine whether or not you are.

Please be patient.
