Get rid of the sarcastic smileys!!!
Perosonally, I'd love to see the demise of the following:
<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" /> <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
Each of these smileys is principally used to ridicule other posters, a practice which is discouraged according to the rules of these forums.
Disabling these particular smileys, which were not a part of the original "fun" UBB set (except the one), would lead to far friendlier and more mature debates.
What is the difference between the <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" /> smiley and the  smiley except that the former is more arrogant?

See, If me and you were conversing I would be able to convey feelings through body language with my face etc but because we are on the net and using text (In most cases) only we need some better tool to emphasise feelings etc . Therfore thoses smilies come in handy and should not be removed.
Thanks
[Does that make sense]
I'm all for anything that could erupt a good flamewar, so I love them.

<strong>With or without smileys, people who decide to be rude, sarcastic, or a jerk on these boards will continue to do so in the absence of these smileys. I don't believe the problem is in the smileys so much as it is in the individual person, and the individual's perception.</strong><hr></blockquote>
Word up as tigga tiga woods would say. <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" />

I'm going to close this thread up so that a real flame war doesn't spark up.
