Heat Dissipation Issue with iPhone While Streaming Using Facebook Live and FaceTime

Hi All,

I'll take any advice on this issue.  Will crosspost in iPhone area too. Tech specs and details at the bottom of question:

I have used various iPhones (iPhone 6s through 11) to stream my kids baseball team's games so that family in friends around the world can watch for YEARS.  (In these Corona Virus times of being shut in, it is even more important to the kids' parents and grandparents, etc.)  Unfortunately, the current iPhone 11 I am using becomes smoking hot (as in, too hot to touch) after about 15 minutes and shuts down.  Outside temp is 85 degrees or above.  In sun or shade.  No other devices (battery backups or cases) are attached.

What am I missing?
I am guessing that people use iPhones in Arizona, etc and don't have this issue.
Do heatsink cases REALLY work?
Other solutions?

iPhone 11 Pro
iOS 13.5.1
Model: MWCM2LL/A
256 Gigs with 213 available
Carrier is Verizon w/unlimited data (not sure if they throttle down once you hit a limit)
Using Facebook mostly, but similar issue with FaceTime app
Happens in sun or shade when temp is above 85 degrees
No additional devices physically hooked to phone
Mic are my AirPods
No case or screen protector to hold in the heat.

Thank you ,
Mark

Try turning on low power mode, that might help. My X gets roasting hot in the car when running Maps when the ambient temperature is 80F+ to the point that it will no longer run Maps properly.

    Thank you.  I'll try that.
