Pink Bar screen on MacBook pro 13" (2017)

Hello everyone,
My MBP 13" 2017 is suddenly showing pink bar screen, I cannot even put my password in to log in. After consulting with Apple support, I took it to Apple authorized service center. They said it's a failed display and will cost me ~$700 to fix it (while I bought it just 1.5 years ago paying ~$1150). That's too much for me, I cannot afford it now. Does anybody face same kind of problem? Is it the same issue like flexgate issue with MBP 13" 2016 model? I would appreciate if anybody knows if there is any other solution to fix the pink bar screen.
