Xpostfacto, Mac OS X, and Powermac 9500
Hey, has anyone had any luck installing OS X on a Pmac 9500 with Xpostfacto?
I've successfully installed OS X on an 8500 using XPF, but I'm having major problems with the 9500. It either kernel panics on startup or hangs at "waiting for root device".
Here are the specs: 9500 with 44mhz bus.
Powerlogix G3 upgrade card running at 42.5 mhz bus, 380mhz overall
(I also have a 604e/200 card but it doesn't seem to want to run OS X either).
512MB RAM from Otherworld Computing (just ordered, very high quality RAM)
1 160MB SCSI drive (running OS 9, and it fits, believe it or not)
1 1GB SCSI drive (this is where I'm trying to install OS X; I've successfully installed it in this small of a drive on my 8500)
ATi Rage128 (originally shipped with B&W G3)
Asante Fast Ethernet card
Keyspan USB card
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
