Finder FTP

After the most recent update to Mac OS X, finder FTP has started working for me. But it is still only read-only, so I can't upload files to my server. Is there any way of getting read/write access to my server through Finder FTP?

I think you'll have to just find a free FTP client for OS X. RBrowser Lite is a good one - there are more available as well, some shareware, some freeware. Just look for "ftp" at www.versiontracker.com . Good luck!

I have got an FTP client (lifTP) but it's not like the OS X Finder. I wonder why Apple made Finder FTP read-only when the iDisk and command line FTP are both read/write..

I'm surpised someone hasn't made a haxie or enhancer to get around this.

It's worked for me since I first installed Jag, but this limitation is ridiculous: why should I have to boot another app just because one OS feature is half-assed?
