the G5 is official I talked to my freind directly from apple I saw them working on it on the 3rd floor. it is really goin to happen. No intel or amd just motorola and ibm still.

and it will take full atvantage of the os 10.3 when it comes out. 64 bit architeture. how ever u spell it.

    Tell me, you have said that this is "IBM and Motorola still". Does this mean that Apple will use two G5s, with a Motorola low-end and IBM high-end (or vice-versa)?



    Is this G5 any relation to current Motorola G5 (85xx) chips? That is, does it have an e500 core, with OCEAN connecting fabric? Is it better than the 85xx, or does it much more?



    Oh, and how the **** did you get into the 3rd floor at Apple? I would very much like to know if you are more than a troll. And Apple is not a single building. It is a complex. Look at the QTVR included with Mac OS X PB. What building did you see it in?
