Accelerated RAM?
I saw this interesting article on the Wired website:

It looks like overall system bandwidth is getting more press these days as people realize that there's little difference between 1GHz and 2GHz chips... the 2GHz doesn't really do things twice as fast, and this is part of the reason.

What history? If DIVA provides a significant speed boost then people will pony up the dough for this. RAMBUS vs. DDR is a different case because their respective performance is fairly close.
