Apple posts AirPort 3.0 software



Apple has released AirPort 3.0 for Mac OS X. It supports both AirPort Extreme and AirPort products. Further details of the update were not provided

    New UI for the admin utility. Kinda cool.



    Resets/restarts are way faster from the admin utility now.

    For some reason, AirPort 3.0 didn't ask me to update the firmware on my ABS. Is that because I have an early-model graphite ABS?

    what firmware are you running?

    i have 4.0.7 on mine with the 3.0 airport update (actually airport admin 3.0.1)



    some people are saying they have 4.0.8



    i don't care too much as my airport is running fine...nicer interface now

    ok, i'm an update junky...just upped my firmware to 4.0.8....not needed for graphite nor extreme, only snow BS......everything is still fine....g

    I'm an update junkie as well. Is there no way I can satisfy my craving for a firmware update with my Graphite ABS? Am I really at the end of the line?



    PS: I like AirPort 3.0 even if a prettier interface is all I'll get out of it.

    Other than it looking pretty + working with the AEBS, did anything else change?

    Near as I can tell (using Calculator.app), 3 is 50% better than 2!
