Wha' happened to Google Image Search?

I've tried it a couple of times today and 90% of the images returned are X's...oh no...no more figurative responses...

    If you click the X-ed out box, most links are still active.



    I mean, not that I use Google Image Search, but that's like, um, what this guy I know told me.

    plus, Google has some - uh, interesting cache behavior... it returns stuff that may no longer be online... try the cached link under some searches and you'll find residual versions of otherwise 404 stuff



    wouldn't be surprised if Image Search used the same Cache protocols



    might just be maintenance
