According to the folka at hardmac.com (also known as MacBidouille.com) ... A Large RAM Vendor Has Listed DDR Memory Sticks for teh Xserve AND "New PowerMac"

Less importantly but still interesting to note is that they are listed as 266mhz AND 333mhz parts ... could a 166mhz bus also be included in the new powermac?

And Look Under The Heading

"La DDR-SDRAM du nouveau G4 est en vente"

...to me the question is: How do the FRENCH always get better, bigger, and more accurate rumors than we do stateside?

This is making me reconsider my heretofore-standard "Nuke The French." stance on Foden Polity (apologies to Kissinger)

Here's a quick translation, courtesy of freetranslation.com, of the above mentioned article (For oui non-french speakers):

Apple did not again announce his new machine, that the ddr-sdram that must go inside already is in sale. This capture is coming from the sale catalog of a big distributor of American RAM.

    First post ever. Woo Hoo.

they did, but forgot about the most important part of the rumor.

The specs detailed in the RAM offer were under NDA until the 5th of August, that's why they just came out.

Looks to me like Apple pushed the release date of the new PMs at the last minute (again), and forgot to notify everybody...

Well, if they are running a 166mhz or 133mhz bus then i guess we can be sure that they're still using the G4 I wonder if the bus will be double pumped or something like that, it would be cool. And i would buy..

I'm happy about this possibility, because we need at least a 166/333 Mhz bus... this will make me buy a new tower, but 133/266 won't.

The 333 has to be for the PowerMacs, because we know the Xserve uses 266, and there would not be two different bus speeds in the towers.
