for what it's worth, according to french site macbidouille (this is starting to become old), the new PM's were meant to be released on the 5th, and therefore an nda to retailers was in effect restricting an interesting tidbit... DDR Ram.

they go on to say that the image comes "from the sales catalogues of a major american distributor."

those who wish to check out the original macbidouille report can do so <a href="http://www.hardmac.com/niouzcontenu.php?date=2002-08-07#3189"; target="_blank">here</a> .

Well we know that DDR memory was likely due to the xserve but this still doesn't tell me how much of the new Powermacs take advantage of DDR. This really doesn't prove anything we couldn't already guess.

    Exactly. The new PowerMacs could:
    • Still use the 133MHz frontside bus, with way faster 166MHz DDR (DDR 333) asynchronous memory.

    • Have a 166MHz SDR bus or

    • Have a 166MHz DDR bus
