The series, which is set to star "The Bourne Supremacy's" Oksana Akinshina, will follow Sasha, "a surrogate mother hiding a dangerous secret who reluctantly finds herself ensconced in the luxurious home of the rich family whose baby she is gestating. As Sasha navigates the privilege and politics of the super-rich, both her secrets and theirs threaten to collide."

In addition to Akinshina, who will play Sasha, "Container's" cast will also include Russian stars like Filipp Yankovskiy, Marusya Fomina, and Artem Bystrov, Variety has reported.

Maksim Sveshnikov directed the series based on a script penned by Alexey Lyapichev. Eduard Iloyan, Vitaly Shlyappo, Alexey Trotsyuk, Denis Zhalinsky, and Mikhail Tkachenko serve as producers.

"Container" premiered in Russia back in September, but is set to land on Apple TV+ sometime in spring 2022.

The series will mark Apple's first foray into Russian-language content. Back in July, the company inked a first-look deal with production company AR Content. Under the terms of the agreement, AR Content will deliver both Russian-language and multi-language shows to Apple TV+.

This isn't Apple's first international-based show, however. The company recently nabbed an International Emmy for best drama for its Israeli series "Tehran."
