Ok, i don't understand anything on that page you gave me, but thanks anyway.
Ok, If I were to sell something at a starting price of $1500 what is the total of fees I would have to pay. Same goes with a starting price of $1000. Thanks yall.

if you sold something for a thousand dollars the fee for selling would be about $29. plus you'd have to pay insertion fees, which would vary depending on how you were listing the item. (photos, etc.)
take this bit of advice,if you wish, don't sell something big your first time out of the chute, practice, learn the ropes, get the hang of things or you could shoot yourself in the foot.

Really, that was too hard?
Ok, here is what the page says for your $1500 item
Unless I'm missing something, how does 1.5% of $500 (the remaining value over $1000) equate to $6.55? My brain is telling me that it should be an even number, $7.50 if I'm not mistaken?

you have to pay a fee to list an item, and if it sells pay a percentage of selling price.

Ok, here is what the page says for your $1500 item
Starting Price,
Opening Value or
Reserve Price \t............................. Insertion Fee
$200.00 and up .......................... $3.30
Closing Value ...................... Final Value Fee
Over $1,000 .................... 5.25% of the initial $25 ($1.31),
........................................... plus 2.75% of the initial $25 - $1000 ($26.81),
........................................... plus 1.50% of the remaining closing value balance ($1000.01 - closing value)
Which would add up to:
3.30 insertion fee + 1.31 initial $25 fee + 26.81 initial $25-1000 fee + 6.55 remaining closing value balance fee = $37.97 in fees total.
Murbot, do I have that right?

1.5% of $500 is $7.50.
Almost, Noah.
They raised their Reserve Auction prices, the bastards. 1% of the reserve. $3500 computer auction, $35 whether it sells or NOT.
Oh well. I don't do eBay anymore anyways.

That is what I get for relying on a windows calculator.
