As it now traditionally does every year, Apple has replaced its homepage to honor civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

As it did last year, in 2020, and for several years before, Apple's homepage has been changed to a photo of Dr. King and a quote.

"I believe that we can transform dark yesterdays of injustice into bright tomorrow's of justice and humanity," reads the 2021 quote from the civil rights leader.

"Today and every day," adds Apple, "we honor his life and legacy of service."

This image and text entirely replace the space usually given to promoting particular Apple products. The site's usual menu banner remains, however, as does its regular footer with sitemap and contact details.

Those were great, heroic people doing great deeds.
Unfortunately, in our culture of character assassination based on unproven accusations from propaganda outlets, we will not see their kind again.   At least not for a long time.  Not till we return to our senses.

Not only will we see "their kind" again we haven't stopped seeing "their kind" as proofed by Apple's homepage showing MLKjr.

"Character assassination" and "canceling" people isn't a new.

Why there is no black person checking out receipts at Costco store? This puzzled me a lot.

No, character assassination based on unproven accusations from propaganda outlets has been taken to a whole new level by those who pioneered it and propagate in order to accomplish their agenda.

It amazes me that you actually think this is new.

LOL...  Are you seriously trying to marginalize it that way?  (It was good effort though!)

No, its not new.  Ben Franklin was attacked that way both here and, as our ambassador, in Europe.  But technology has enabled the unscrupulous to take it to an entirely new level never before possible.  And so now we get extremists raising brainwashed mobs and militias of extremists attacking their political opponents, our country, and our democracy.

Technology always allows this to grow, but that's no need to clutch your pearls and pretend like you were blindsided by what is obvious to most.

LOL...  So ANOTHER attempt at marginalizing these propaganda laden character assassinations and attacks on political opponents, our country and its democracy.

Nope!  Nobody will rise to the level of King, Kennedy or Reagan for the foreseeable future.  Each will be taken down via character assassination by the propaganda outlets.  Meanwhile, real media won't resort to such tactics -- so demagogues flourish while the propaganda outlets take down their political opponents with their character assassination.
