Me too . Alas, ATI doesn't seem too interested . Wasn't there an effort to write open source OS X drivers for the common TV tuner chipsets a while back? Anyone know what happened to it?

Awesome, can't wait to see how the benchmarks are.
The major problem of the 9700 for the mac where the drivers, and guess what, the drivers of the 9800 are the same than the 9700

really, so the 9700 will be buy from apple only and the 9800 will go retail. If performance is good I'll snatch that puppy up off the shelf.
Expect to pay $150 more than the PC version

Expect to pay 150 more for any Apple product.

But with 3D apps (Lightwave and Cinema 4D) the Ti still beats the 9700.
If I am getting a machine BTO now I will go for the 9700. But as a owner of the Ti there really is no point to get rid of the Ti to get the 9700.
