Regarding the Tips article on

The tip article by William Gallagher "How to video capture your screen in macOS Monterey" tells me I should see an Microphone section under Options, but I do NOT.


I am running Monterey 12.4 on a 2013 Mac Pro. I have an audio interface connected (specifically a Focusrite Clarett 4Pre USB). When I connect a mic to that device, the Sound Preference pane sees that as an active audio input (as do other audio apps), but when I invoke the video recording feature with Command-Shift-5 the Option menu sections I see are "Save to", "Timer" and "Options." No "Microphone" section.

Any ideas?
