Does anyone have the Canon S400 digital camera yet? If so, what OS X software comes with it? Photoshop Elements for X? What about the drivers?

Canon ships its own image browser/downloader software/drivers along with Photostitch software for OS X. I don't know if Image Capture or iPhoto support the S400 yet, but it'd be just one point update away. It's actually as easy as finding out your camera's product code and adding it to an XML file...

I don't know what 3rd party software ships with it.

    Eugene,

Thanks. I figured Apple would add driver support for the S400 in the next point update.

I was mostly concerned about Photoshop Elements and Photostich. When I bought my S330, both of these program were OS 9 only (at least that's what accompanied the camera). I don't want to repeat that this time around and am willing to wait a little bit if neccessary - thus my question.

Yep..I do. It's a fantastic camera with beautiful colours, great zoom and a whole host of improvements over the Canon Ixus v (european name - don't know what it's called in US). It worked perfectly with iPhoto2 and Image capture.

Canon provides it's own drivers in the box which give access to remote capture and any audio memos you may have tagged to photos. They also allow you to customize the cameras start up screen and noises if you really want to. Softare included is:

    Image browser 3

    Photostitch3.1

    remote capture 2.7

    File viewer utility 1.2

    Editing software is:

    Arcsoft Photoimpression 4

    Arcsoft Video impression 1.6

I haven't need to install any of the above so can't tell you what they're like. Also, the s/ware might possibly be different in the states (Presuming that's where you're from)

Me--I love it..the 4 Mega pixels over my old two Mpixel camera and the 3X zoom makes a world of difference.
