Why aren't Reminders and Calendar more tightly integrated?
Apple has come a long way with both Calendar and Reminders.
However, it seems they "forgot" to integrate Reminders (that have a date or time) with Calendar.
This seems like an obvious thing to do.
Reminders is a great place to manage...well reminders. Sometimes—not always—these have a date and/or time. It makes sense to me that these could just appear in Calendar—as a reminder—for the given date/time.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Microsoft adds reminders as part of their other products, it could just be another panel in the Calendar app instead of a separate app. That simplifies things because they don't have to make a cross-app communication system maintaining privacy.
This is probably a case where 3rd party apps are the better route to go like Things or Fantastical:

Reminders would be replaced with whichever app has the best Calendar integration. Todoist works with Fantastical.

A simple 'add to calendar' button or checkbox in Reminders would be enough and could be for a group of tasks.
Reminders, Notes and Calendar don't even need to be separate apps, it can be like the Stopwatch app that is a timer, stopwatch and alarm. There's a lot of overlap between them. Checklists can be added in Notes:

This app could be called Events or Planner and each page/event created could be a standard list with creation date, a checklist or a time-driven event. The Planner could allow setting up meetings and linking presentations directly to them so when the reminder shows, it has a link to the presentation. In Zoom meetings, people always have to hunt for their presentation files before starting the meeting.
